Job Description
The ideal candidate will have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to:

* Utilize programs and tools to track and document spending and savings information in accordance to agency policy.
*Purchase supplies, equipment, or obtain services that assist with successful operations of the organization.
*Develops or assists in the development of documents such as Request for Quotes (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
* Participate in the vendor/vendor response evaluation
*Establishes and/or maintains the inventory control system
*Keep all Executive Managers, Team Leads and Program/Department Directors aware of purchasing changes, when necessary
*Assist with facility maintenance coordination
*Complete all necessary reporting and provide financial information for audits

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or directly related field OR Four years of related experience in a purchasing environment OR Two years experience at the lower level position or its equivalent.

Will use company vehicles - Must have a clean MVR. A driver cannot have six or more points against his/her license within the last five years. No driver may have had a revoked or suspended license within the last five years.

Technical Competencies:
*Knowledge of the types and grades of the commodities and supply sources
*Knowledge of principles and practices of volume purchasing of goods and services
*Ability to develop and prepare technical reports
*Ability to gather and analyze technical data
*Ability to read and follow purchase orders/ordering forms
*Ability to solicit business proposals
