The Director of Deaf Services coordinates and directs state-wide clinical treatment service provision for individuals who are deaf, deaf-blind, and hard of hearing to assure continuity of care and quality of treatment through ASL-fluent staff. This position will work in close collaboration and consultation with the DBHDD Office of Deaf Services. This position has overnight travel responsibilities.
•Develop, implement, and provide oversight of statewide behavioral health services to deaf, deaf-blind, and hard of hearing individuals.
•Make appropriate cultural and linguistic recommendations for program/operational changes and methods of implementation.
•Implement and maintain video-based therapy and case management to reach all counties across the state.
•Develop programs that assist deaf, deaf-blind, and hard of hearing individuals in gaining access to
•Participate in community awareness and advocacy.
•Act as the focal point of information for individuals and family members seeking behavioral health services for individuals who are deaf, deaf-blind, and hard of hearing.
•Must be a fully licensed clinician (LPC, LCSW or LMFT)
•Must be ASL proficient
•Must have one year experience in program coordination/program management.
•Applicants must not have six (6) or more points against their driver's license or a suspended or revoked driver's license within the last five (5) years.
Criminal Background Check and Drug Screen are required on all employees.
